Jean was a very social person & particularly committed to her family life with Chris & Fred. She would check shopping needs & get the bargains regularly! When out she would always chat to people & take an interest in all that was going on around her. She was a real strong fighter for disabled rights for her family & others, & was involved in charities, groups & community activities until her health deteriorated in recent years.

One particular act of kindness I remember was when I visited I had no pyjamas to wear at night. Without saying anything & whilst I was out in Birmingham she bought me a new set of pyjamas from the local Tescos & which I still use today. She was also an excellent cook & introduced me to stuffed heart, a food that I had never tried. Very tasty to!

I had not seen Jean for about 3 years but before Christmas last year she kindly offered me to go up to Birmingham to stay. Unfortunately the virus situation prevented this & it would have been nice to see her again for her last Christmas.
